The Policy Research Centre on Integration is an initiative of the Flemish Government, and it is one of the 21 current Policy Research Centres.
With a term from 2012-2015, this Centre was founded to provide scientific support to Flemish policymakers, in order to help them respond rapidly, proactively and adequately to societal developments and challenges.
Topics related to integration and civic integration are studied in an independent, open, broad and in-depth manner within several important social domains. In addition to addressing the situation and experiences of ‘new’ and ‘old migrants’, the research projects also study individuals and groups of native origin living within the ‘host’ society.
