Tax form

Question:

I received a brown envelope with a bundle of papers in it, it is a tax declaration. Do I have to fill this form?

Answer:

Every person registered in the district house and older than 18 years automatically receives this tax declaration.

When you are registered in our university and you are receiving a scholarship or subsidy you have to sign the backside of the white original declaration form and send it to the Euraxess Service Centre/International Relations Office. They will add a standard letter and return it to the tax office. Don’t forget to do this – if not you will be taxed on a fictive income!

If you receive a salary you will get general overview sheets from the personnel department. Take these forms together with the tax declaration form to your bank or health insurance company – they can help you filling this official declaration. If not, the Euraxess Service Centre/International Relations Office can help you as well.
