Eng. Patricia Kara De Maeijer voluntarily contributes to the research of EMIB at UAntwerp. Her current research focuses on innovations in concrete and alkali-activated materials technology, recycling of industrial wastes and by-products, eco-material design and LCA. Patricia is a Senior member of RILEM (International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures). Patricia has authored more than 70 scientific publications, 3 patents and participated in several research projects. Patricia acts as a peer-reviewer in several scientific journals and as a Guest Editor at Infrastructures MDPI journal.
