About Anskje Van Mensel

For the European BIOVEINS (BiodivERsA - Horizon 2020) project, together with six other research institutions we mapped biodiversity in seven cities across Europe. We investigated to what extend air quality changes inside an urban park and how urban parks influence the microclimate inside the city. Moreover, in the scope of BIOVEINS I coordinated the European citizen science campaign strawbAIRies. For the European Nature Smart Cities project we investigated how the use of "slow roads" can improve pleasantness and health of urban dwellers while commuting through the city.
