The Congo Research Network is organizing a third PhD workshop, with a broadened focus on the Central Africa region. Opportunities for research in DRC and the wider region of Central Africa are expanding in Belgium and around the world. We feel it is important to continue to generate interdisciplinary dialogue among the various disciplines, which each have their own canon and research traditions. More senior scholars (postdocs, professors, researchers at non-academic institutions) will provide feedback on the papers. Two senior scholars will provide a key note. More information will be given when we share the full programme.

This two-day PhD meeting will have three objectives: (1) to identify and make visible doctoral research in progress; (2) to connect junior colleagues with one another; and (3) to break down disciplinary or institutional boundaries.

Attending the PhD Days is free, ​but registration is necessary before November 25^th at the latest.

Le Congo Research Network organise une nouvelle édition du workshop à destination des doctorant.e.x.s, dont les recherches portent une attention particulière sur l’Afrique centrale. Les opportunités de recherches en RDC et en Afrique centrale s’accroissent en Belgique et dans le monde. Nous considérons qu’il est important de continuer à nourrir le dialogue interdisciplinaire entre les différentes orientations scientifiques, qui ont chacune leur propre règle et tradition. 

Ces journées d’étude pour les doctorant.e.x.s auront trois objectifs : (1) présenter et rendre visible les recherches doctorales en cours ; (2) mettre en relation les jeunes chercheur.euse.x.s ; (3) décloisonner les disciplines et les institutions. Plus spécifiquement, au cours de ce workshop, deux experts feront chacun une présentation plénière sur leur domaine de recherche spécifique.

La participation aux journées d’étude des doctorant.e.x.s du CRN est gratuite, mais l'inscription est nécessaire avant le 25 novembre au plus tard.
