Measures on the coronavirus for UAntwerp students

The coronavirus COVID-19 is spreading all over the world. The University of Antwerp requests the collaboration of all its employees to slow the further spread of the virus. Here we give you an overview of the most recent decisions in alphabetical order. UAntwerp students can read all the measures and more specific information from their faculty on Blackboard

The June exam period will indeed go ahead at UAntwerp. We decided to postpone the start of the exam period by one week. This means it will start on 1 June (Pentecost Monday) and end on 3 July. We keep students informed via Blackboard.

All exams, including computer exams, written exams and oral exams, will of course be organised safely and in accordance with the guidelines that apply at that time. We assume that students will be allowed to travel to campus to take exams and that oral exams may also be organised, on condition that strict social distancing is respected. Safe organisation means that students will be seated much further apart from each other and that the movements of students around the buildings will be planned carefully. In addition to the university buildings, large group exams will also take place at Antwerp Expo. Exam schedules can still be adjusted.

Face masks

Everyone must have a mask with them at the university. If you can't stay 1.5 metres away from each other, you must put your masks on. This applies both on campus and near the campus. In lecture theatres and classrooms, your lecturers will tell you whether you have to keep your mask on during class. Make sure you put your mask on whenever you enter a classroom.

On you will find a digital version of student lifes. No Blackboard, no second UAntwerp email, but a place to meet each other, to help, to inspire.  A platform where we bring all new and existing initiatives together, for and by students. A place to which you can all contribute in the coming period.

Guidelines for living together

Internships are suspended unless the student can work from home. Different arrangements may apply to medical and pharmaceutical internships – these will be communicated by the relevant faculty.
