All of the legal knowledge available in our organisation is accumulated in this interdepartmental support structure, which is jointly managed by the Finance Manager and the Head of the Research Department.
The Legal Follow-up Centre or JOC is responsible for the follow-up of contracts and the legal aspects of the university's intellectual property rights, especially when making agreements with national and international private partners but also in all other individual academic cases, including academic disputes (students and academic personnel).
The Legal and Corporate Affairs service is also part of the JOC. It is responsible for bequests/donations, rentals, and so on.
We attempt to identify legal risks proactively, to monitor and prevent these and to ensure that we are covered. We also make sure that important decision-making processes run smoothly and anticipate legal threats and opportunities.
