Dries Buytaert is the new alumni ambassador

Dries Buytaert, alumnus of the Computer Science programme, has been appointed as our new alumni ambassador. Buytaert is the founder of Drupal, the open-source software that has been used for the websites of the White House and the Olympic Games. Seven years after the launch of Drupal, Buytaert established Acquia, which specialises in commercial products and services related to Drupal. Buytaert has already received numerous awards for his online ventures: in 2008, BusinessWeek nominated him ‘Young Entrepreneur of Tech’. He also made MIT’s list of the top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35.
