Interdisciplinary platform

Centre Pieter Gillis aims to encourage and facilitate dialogue between the faculties - with particular attention for interaction between human, social and exact sciences. This dialogue can focus on the relationship and interaction between empirical and hermeneutical disciplines, or on a specific theme that can be approached in an interdisciplinary way. This reflection can also lead to the development of a (future) interdisciplinary course.

Centre Pieter Gillis wants to play an active role in the discussion about the university's identity in the present societal context. The centre can offer a platform and take initiatives in order to stimulate this dialogue within the university, thereby transcending the borders of the faculties.
