Academic year 2019-20 marks the fourth year that scholarships are available for refugee students taking our one-year Dutch programme. During this preparatory year, participants learn Dutch so that they can enrol on a Dutch-language course at a university or university college and become who they want to be: students in Flanders!
Do you know any refugees who want to continue their studies in Dutch?
We are looking for highly motivated, talented young people who have specific plans to continue their studies at a Flemish university college or university. Basic proficiency in English is required. Existing knowledge of Dutch is not strictly necessary, though we would emphasise that the pace of the one-year Dutch programme is very high and requires a full-time commitment.
Candidates (with refugee status, asylum seeker status or subsidiary protection) can apply for a scholarship until 11 July. The scholarships will be allocated in early September.
