Level 1 (CEFR A1)

What will you learn in this course?

  • You will acquire the basics of French grammar so you can express yourself accurately in the present and the future.
  • You learn to use basic French vocabulary in everyday situations.
  • You practice different skills such as listening, reading and writing, but the emphasis is on speaking.
  • You will do regular self-tests that give you a clear overview of your progress. The results of the tests are complemented by individual feedback from your teacher, who will aide you in your learning process.

Level 2 (CEFR A2)

What will you learn in this course?

  • You brush up on the basics of French and broaden your knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. You use this knowledge to talk about various everyday topics such as leisure and sports, family, food and consumption or health.
  • Among other things, you will learn to give advice and respond to it, describe objects and their functionality, describe minor medical problems, talk about food and preparations, etc.
  • You practice different skills such as listening, reading and writing, but the emphasis is on speaking.
  • You will do regular self-tests that give you a clear overview of your progress.

In addition to the textbook, there are a lot of extra online materials so you can practise what you have learned in class at home. You have access to all online practice materials of level 1 and level 2.

Level 3 (CEFR B1)

What will you learn in this course?

  • You repeat and expand your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. You use this knowledge to talk about your studies, your work, your leisure time, your cultural trips and your holidays.
  • Among other things, you will learn to make suggestions, express wishes, describe projects, express emotions, describe your relationship to your work, express your taste in art, describe your passions, give your opinion on books, series and films, etc.
  • You will do regular self-tests that give you a clear overview of your progress. The results of the tests are complemented by individual feedback from your language teacher[LP-UA3] , who continuously adapts your learning process.
  • You will be given a number of writing assignments, with your individual errors corrected.

Level 4 (CEFR B1)

What will you learn in this course?

  • You repeat and expand your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. You use this knowledge to talk about themes such as traditions and festivals, your origins, languages and performing arts.
  • You learn to express feelings and emotions, to articulate dreams and projects, to give an opinion, to describe performing arts, etc.
  • You will do regular self-tests that give you a clear overview of your progress.
  • The extensive correction of your writing assignments gives insight into your mistakes and obstacles.

What will you learn in this course?

  • You repeat and broaden your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
  • You learn to discuss commitment, give your opinion on different propositions, talk about France and your own culture, show your interest in a discussion, react to fashion trends, talk about the press and present an article, present figures and graphs, talk about historical facts and figures, talk about different branches of medicine (humanitarian medicine, plastic surgery, etc).
  • You work with authentic listening and reading materials.
  • You will do regular self-tests that give you a clear overview of your progress.
  • The extensive correction of your writing assignments gives insight into your mistakes and guides your learning process.
