Abstract submission

Oral and poster contributions are welcome on subjects within the scope of the conference. Each attending author can submit several contributions but only one as an oral presentation.

Please note that the submission form is NOT the registration form.

Authors are requested to submit abstracts no later than Friday March 5, 2021. Please use the Word template.

Notification of acceptance and mode of presentation (oral or poster) will be done by March 19th, 2021.

Invited presentations

The time attributed to each invited presentation is 30 minutes. This includes 5 min for questions. All technical material will be presented with a digital projector and a PC. We kindly ask you to load your file onto the presentation computers prior to the beginning of the session in which you are to present. Kindly contact your Session Chair to provide him or her with some of your biographical information which can be used during the introduction of your talk.

Oral presentations

The time attributed to each oral presentation is 20 minutes. This includes 5 min for questions and switching to the next presenter. All technical material will be presented with a digital projector and a PC. We kindly ask you to load your file onto the presentation computers prior to the beginning of the session in which you are to present. Speakers should be present at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the Session in which they will give their presentation in order to introduce themselves to the Session Chair.

The timing will be strict, and session chairs will be requested to stop speakers exceeding the 15-minute presentation slot, ensuring that sufficient time is available for discussion and questions.

PowerPoint or Adobe PDF are the accepted presentation formats.

Posters

The deadline for submission of abstracts for posters is the same as that for oral presentations. Please note that after this date, it will remain possible to submit abstracts for late poster presentation. However, there is no guarantee that late poster abstracts will become included in the book-of-abstracts of EXRS2021 or in the printed program booklet. Thus we encounrage all poster presenters to respect the deadline as much as possible.

The size of the poster should not exceed A0 (118.9 cm high, 84.1 cm wide) and must be in portrait orientation. Authors will have the opportunity to discuss their posters during the allotted poster sessions. Posters can already be displayed in the morning and should be removed after the end of the poster session. Material to affix the poster will be provided.

Posters should be mounted in the morning of the programmed day, before the start of the first session, and need to be taken down by the following morning.

Abstract submission procedure

Please note that the abstract submission is a two-step procedure.

  • Download the EXRS2021 Abstract word template - this file is available here (in .docx format).
  • Save your abstract in .pdf format. Submit your file via the EasyChair system using this link. This step also involves entering information about the authors of the abstract, the key words and entering (a second time) the abstract title and body as plain text.

Please note that after submission it is possible to edit this information and upload an updated version of your abstract .pdf file. Use the "Update information", "Update authors" and "Update file" buttons in the upper right corner of the "Submission X" tab (with X =1, 2, ...) for this purpose.
