Measuring by Light

University of Antwerp | 7 - 8 February 2018

Conference scope and topics

The conference aims to provide a platform where both industry and academics can discuss ground-breaking measurement techniques and solutions, bridging the needs and requirements for both. In an informal atmosphere the participants can interact and network with each other. The event also allows participants to get to know the latest measurement technologies in the exhibition.

The conference focuses on the following measurement techniques for the measurement of geometry, displacements, deformations, vibrations and thermal fields:

  • Laser Doppler vibrometry
  • Infrared thermography
  • Digital image correlation
  • Optical fiber sensors
  • Shearography, interferometry
  • Laser scanning
  • Photogrammetry

We  welcome presentations in the following application fields:

  • Novel sensor technologies
  • Micro-electronics and MEMS
  • Modal analysis, vibration analysis
  • Non-destructive testing
  • Structural health monitoring
  • Material identification
  • Strain measurement
  • Civil engineering
  • Aerospace
  • Machine design
  • Automotive

If you have an interesting application you would like to present, you are more than welcome to send an abstract to
