Dr. Johanna K. Kaakinen received her PhD from the University of Turku, Finland, in 2004. She is coordinator of Turku EyeLabs, a laboratory platform involving a multidisciplinary team of university researchers utilising eye tracking and its applications to study human behavior. Kaakinen has extensive expertise in using eye tracking to study reading of longer naturalistic texts, and in her recent work she has applied novel combinations of eye tracking, motion capture recordings and psychophysiological measurements to study reader engagement during reading of both expository and literary texts.
