Vlaamse scriptieprijs
Margot De Graeve (master Biomedical Sciences - Uantwerp) is selected to be awarded with the "Vlaamse Scriptieprijs 2016". From the 625 submissions Margot is placed on the shortlist of 10 candidates. Her master proof is entitled "Improvement of sensitivity and specificity of an assay to detect cervical cancer based on a biomarker panel by using cervicovaginal fluid". This master proof was performed at the PPES lab and Centre for Proteomics under the supervision of Prof. Xaveer Van Ostade and Dr. Geert Van Raemdonck.
Which student that will take the first prize of € 2.500, will be announced at the award ceremony on December 20 in Brussels City Hall.

Moreover, the same master proof of Margot was also nominated to win the "EOS-scriptieprijs". This price annually awards the best thesis in sciences.
