Tuition fees academic year 2017-2018

The following tuition fees apply to the academic year 2017-2018.

How do I calculate the tuition fee...

How do I calculate the tuition fee...

...for a single enrolment?

The sum of the course credits in your programme must be multiplied with the rate per credit for the programme selected.  The fixed amount must then be added to this sum to caculate the total amount you have to pay.

 ...for multiple enrolments?

The credits needed for all your programmes will be added up to calculate your tuition fees if you are taking an initial academic bachelor or initial master, a bridging or preparatory programme or the teacher training programme.

Exceptions to this rule include the master programmes with higher tuition fees, the advanced master programmes, PhD and postgraduate programmes: if you're taking one or more of these enrolments, each enrolment will be calculated individually according to the rate of the programme. If credits apply, these credits will not be combined with credits used for programmes in other categories.

Insufficient learning credit and extra tuition fees

Insufficient credits in your learning account and extra tuition fees

If you have insufficient credits in your learning account to complete your programme and the faculty exceptionally -after a motivated request- grants you permission to register for more credits than you have in your learning account, an additional tuition fee has to be paid.  This additional fee is calculated using the extra credits in your study programme for which you don't have credits in your learning account multiplied by the amount per credit that is applicable to your enrolment.  Example: your tuition fee is "250 euro + 44 euro/credit" and the status of your learning credit is 50 credits but you still need 60 credits to graduat.  If the faculty lets you register for 60 credits you will have to pay [250 euro + 60 x 44 euro + 10 x 44 euro =] 3330 euro.
