North-South collaboration

Want to travel to a developing country to study, do an internship or immerse yourself in the local culture? Want to make a difference in the global South?

The University of Antwerp offers its students a wide range of opportunities abroad, including study trips, immersion trips and internships in developing countries.

Do you have an adventurous streak? Are you ready for an extraordinary experience in the South? Then maybe a hospital internship in Suriname, research trip to Nicaragua or immersion trip to Congo could be right up your street.

There are various grants you can apply for as a student to help cover the cost of your studies or internship in a developing country. The most important options are the VLIR-UOS and University of Antwerp travel grants.
