The Faculty Board is the highest decision-making body in the Faculty of Business and Economics. It determines the faculty's policy on education, research and services while adhering to the framework of policy lines set out by the university and to the legal stipulations. The Faculty Board has 51 members, including members of the faculty's Executive Committee and representatives of the Tenured Academic Personnel (ZAP), Assistant Academic Personnel (AAP), Administrative and Technical Personnel (ATP) and students.

The Dean and Vice-Dean are appointed for a period of three years. The Dean chairs the Faculty Board and is represented by the Vice-Dean in case of absence. Together they oversee the faculty's day-to-day activities and the implementation of advice and decisions made by the Faculty Board, and they represent the Faculty of Business and Economics outside the university.

The Executive Committee is composed of the Dean and Vice-Dean, the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Research Committee, the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Educational Committee, a representative of the Assistant Academic Personnel (AAP) and/or Non-Statutory Academic Personnel (BAP) or substitute, and a student representative or substitute.

An Educational Committee has been established in the faculty and is responsible for all of the faculty's programmes, with the exception of the PhD programme and doctoral theses, which are managed by the Research Committee. The Educational Committee develops goal-based, consistent programmes and aligns the multiple units involved in order to form an educational partnership.

One of the key tasks of the Research Committee is to prepare and execute policies. Policy preparation involves preparing and developing the faculty's research strategy while policy execution entails organising specific steps that result from policy decisions about research.
The task of attracting and following up PhD students is also part of the faculty's research activities.

The departments are decentralised administrative units for well-defined disciplines which are responsible for providing, coordinating and integrating education, scientific research and academic services, along with the academic personnel who make up their staff, and for the tasks allocated to them by the faculty.
