The University of Antwerp is a medium-sized university with over 20.000 students spread over 9 faculties.
Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts comprises the study programmes in languages, literature, history, and philosophy. Every year, the faculty welcomes more than 200 international students - of which 1/3 at various summer schools and 1/3 Dutch students.
At the Faculty of Arts, you can follow courses that match your interests. Next to lectures in auditoriums, you will have practice classes in small groups, do study projects, go on trips to cultural institutions, and more.
Antwerp, cultural capital of Flanders
Antwerp is the cultural and economic capital of Flanders and therefore an excellent setting for studying arts. The Faculty of Arts is located right in the vibrant city centre. In the neighbourhood, students will find a large range of theatres, independent cinemas with subtitled films, bookstores, museums, etc.

Gate15 provides information for all students about diverse aspects of the student life in Antwerp. Moreover, they are in charge of events such as the festival StuDay in the first week of the academic year.
