Antwerp is brilliantly located if you want to do day trips to discover more of Belgium and, equally, as a base to travel to other European nations. I found all the administrative and teaching staff very approachable if you are having any difficulties – such as having your appendix removed a week before exams! - and they provide a very high level of education. I loved the IELSP program because it was challenging, interesting and the course was the perfect combination of my international studies and law degrees. During my stay, the faculty organised a free class trip to The Hague to visit the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the Peace Palace which was really interesting and relevant to what we were studying. Not only was my experience excellent academically, it also gave me the opportunity to meet and befriend people from all different backgrounds. Student life in Antwerp is second to none and, given the chance, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
