The Faculty of Law at the University of Antwerp is a thriving academic community of nearly 2.500 students and 250+ academic and administrative staff, engaged in academic education and research in law and in safety sciences.
The Faculty offers programmes leading to the degrees of bachelor of laws (Dutch), master of laws (in Dutch and in English), advanced master of tax law (in Dutch) and master in safety sciences (in Dutch). The Faculty offers the highest standards in legal education in Flanders. Research is conducted in five research groups, working on the relevance of law for person and property, business, government, development and law enforcement. The Faculty actively pursues internationalisation in teaching, research and service provision. Hence, the Faculty enjoys a strong international reputation and has been ranked 39th in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2018 of law faculties worldwide.
