You and your 100 trillion friends - the Human Gut Microbiome in health and disease

In this lecture series, Professor Jeroen Raes will show how recent technological advances, large-scale population studies, and clinical interventions are showing that the human microbiota can be a powerful ally to understand, how this complex community is studied, and how this provides insights researchers can use to treat certain diseases.

Professor Jeroen Raes is Group Leader at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology (Rega Institute) at KU Leuven and Group Leader at the Center for Microbiology at VIB.
