Job description

  • You prepare a doctoral thesis in the fields of anti-bacterial drug design using virtual screening, computational technology development and molecular dynamics simulations.
  • You publish scientific articles related to the research project of the assignment.
  • You contribute to teaching and research in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences.

Profile and requirements

  • You hold a master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, (bio-)chemistry, information technology or physics.
  • You can submit outstanding academic results.
  • Students in the final year of their degree can also apply.
  • The emphases in your teaching correspond to the educational vision of the university.
  • Your academic qualities comply with the requirements stipulated in the university’s policy.
  • You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.
  • You have a keen interest in in-silico drug design, programming, chemo-informatics, chemistry and biology.

We offer

  • a doctoral scholarship for a period of 4 years;
  • the start date of the scholarship is May 1, 2019;
  • a gross monthly grant ranging from € 2.373,36 - € 2.516,73;
  • a dynamic and stimulating work environment.
