Visiting professor in the area of Migration and Intercultural Studies

Job description

  • You will be assigned following lecturing duties: As lecturer the course ‘Anthropology’ (bachelor in Social sciences, 6 ECTS, 45 contact hours) and as co-lecturer the course ‘Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Migration and Integration’ (bachelor in Social sciences, Arts and Business and Economics, 6 ECTS, 45 contact hours).
  • You will be in charge of the daily management of the Centre for Migration and Intercultural Studies.
  • You will (co-)supervise several ongoing research projects.
  • You will acquire and manage external research funding (national and international).

Profile and requirements

  • You hold a doctoral degree (PhD) in Human and Social Sciences with demonstrated relevance to the research areas.
  • The focus in your teaching corresponds to the educational vision of the university.
  • You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.
  • You are fluent in at least Dutch and English.
  • You have experience in acquiring and managing international research projects.
  • You are involved in (inter)national research networks.
  • You have leadership skills.
  • You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.

We offer

  • a position rewarded as a visiting lecturer (or higher, depending on academic qualifications and professional experience) for a period of two years;
  • the date of appointment will be as soon as possible and no later than 15 September 2019;
  • a full time gross monthly salary ranging from € 4.255,06 tot € 6.272,13;
  • a dynamic and stimulating work environment.
