Apart from the abovementioned scholarship programmes, several other funding opportunities for cooperation with Mexico exist. Rather than focusing on funding mobility, these other programmes target research and innovation with mobility playing a secondary role.

For example, funding for research and innovation is available through:

  • Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) – provides funding for joint research projects with Mexico (including dissemination activities) ranging from 2 to 3 years mainly (but not exclusively) in the field of Biotechnology, Microelectronics, Nanotechnology, Space Science, Nuclear Science, Earth Sciences, Ecology, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Sciences.
