In a knowledge partnership, the Design Sciences Hub offers its client scientific support for metropolitan challenges and systemic issues. On the basis of concrete questions from industry, civil society or policy makers, DSH makes the spatial translation of in-depth academic research into the challenges of tomorrow. This unique form of collaboration offers the opportunity to address a wide range of 'wicked problems', ranging from urban mobility and healthy air quality to the digitalization of the construction industry. An interdisciplinary consortium of experts at the University of Antwerp is assembled to guide this process. In practice, the foresight sessions provide room for dialogue between academics and the client, and conclusions and recommendations are laid down in a final report.
