Synthesis of nanomaterials and their use in sensing applications

Herein, the noble metal nanostructures with different shapes and morphologies including nanorods, nanocubes, hollow nanospheres, nanocages and core/shells are synthesized and applied as a platform for the immobilization of aptamers on the electrodes. Generally, it can be said that the main purpose of this study is (i) investigating the abilities of noble metal nanostructures in improvement of biosensors functions; (ii) comparing the performances of electrochemical biosensors modified by nanostructures with different shapes. Finally aiming the selection of an electrochemical platform which has better selectivity and sensitivity towards target molecule.
