This is a specialized course for junior and more advanced PhD students and advanced MA students requiring a MA diploma and interest in diversity issues and gender analysis, and/or critical theory. Previous training in gender studies is not required.
English, but the final paper can be written in Dutch upon request.

After positive evaluation of requirement criteria
Attend all lectures as well as one masterclass per day.
Read the literature required for the various lectures (two texts per lecture) and prepare two questions for each lecture. Email these questions to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 27th the latest.
Participate in discussions during lectures and masterclasses.
Write a final position paper of 3000 words on a subject of choice related to the topic. Email this paper to email@example.com by June 30 the latest.
Evaluation is based on preparation (questions and presentation), active participation during lectures and masterclasses, presentation and final paper.
PhD students from a Flemish university receive credits upon completion of the course in accordance with the doctoral school requirements of their institution. Other PhD students receive, on completion, a ‘proof of successful participation’, which can be recognized by their home PhD programme. MA students can also apply for registration on an individual basis and receive ‘proof of successful participation’.
