The Annual International Conference of the Leo Baeck Institute Jerusalem

In cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Israel, the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European-Jewish Studies, the Open University of Israel, the Institute of Jewish Studies at the University of Antwerp, and the Academic Working Group of the Leo Baeck Institute in Germany.

As a part of the conference the Leo Baeck Institute will host the writer Meir Shalev on the Institutes' Facebook page for a conversation with the literary critic Shiri Lev Ari. The two will discuss the Jews' attitude to nature, especially in biblical times and today, from the beginning of Zionism, through the teaching of nature in schools and through various literary sources, including Meir Shalev's books, with emphasis on his book 'Mein Wildgarten'.
