In this performance Quodlibet presented the story of the Spanish humanist Benito Arias Montano, who came to Antwerp in the 16th century by order of Philip II to work with Christopher Plantijn on what would become one of the most important works in the history of printing, the Biblia Regia, also known as the Antwerp Polyglot Bible.
Quodlibet came all the way from Spain and is known for the unique approach with which they bring history back to life through their authentic interpretation of vocal music.
