Summary

Various types of vestibular diseases exist, each with typical characteristics of dizziness duration, frequency, evolution, causes ond so on. Unfortunately, not all dizzy patients are able to get a proper diagnosis due to the incomplete understanding of some dizziness conditions. We study characteristics of different vestibular pathologies in order to better understand and diagnose these conditions. Furthermore, Prof. Floris Wuyts and Dr. Robby Vanspauwen are members of the Bárány Society which brings together world-wide experts on vestibular pathology and which aims to define diagnostic criteria for different vestibular pathologies to be used globally.
