Researchers of the Medical Biochemistry group develop purification methods for the enzymes they study, from natural sources as well as recombinant organisms. They develop assays that can be used to assess activity in complex biological samples and for screening and counterscreening of lead compounds during drug development.

We are open for collaborations with academic groups and pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Enzymes currently available for drug screening

  • Human dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (seminal plasma) – DPP4
  • Human dipeptidyl peptidase 2 (seminal plasma) – DPP2
  • Bovine dipeptidyl peptidase 9 (testes) – DPP9
  • Human prolyl oligopeptidase (recombinant, expressed in E. coli) – hPREP
  • Porcine prolyl oligopeptidase (recombinant, expressed in E. coli) – pPREP
  • Human carboxypeptidase U (plasma) – proCPU
  • Human carboxypeptidase M (soluble form, recombinant expressed in P. pastoris) – CPM
  • Human fibroblast activation protein (recombinant, expressed in insect cells) - hFAP
