Antwerp doctors and PhD-students in the Arts selected

On the occasion of Dirk Braeckman’s selection for the Belgian Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale, a website focussing on Belgian contemporary photography was launched on the 4th of May.

This wesbite "Turning Photography — Exploring the edges of Belgian contemporary photography through a curated selection of essays and artists’ portraits" is a result of the collaboration between the Flanders Arts Institute, Wallonia-Brussels Federation, BOZAR (Brussels), FoMu (Antwerp) and Museum M (Leuven). The website will be internationally promoted, also in Venice.

Among the selected artists are Charlotte Lybeer and Els Vanden Meersch (both Antwerp doctors in the Arts), Wim Wauman (Antwerp PhD in the Arts), Bert Danckaert (doctor in the Arts and teacher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp) and Geert Goiris (teacher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp).
