About IMPRES

Integrated Molecular Plant physiology Research (IMPRES) is one of the research groups in the Department of Biology. Our research focuses on the mechanisms that control general plant development, and mostly relies on molecular (cell) biology, enzymatic activity quantification, several forms of microscopy, cell wall extensiometry and plant hormone and metabolite analyses.

Ongoing research mainly exploits the model plants Arabidopsis thaliana and Zea mays which both represent very useful experimental systems to study developmental processes in higher plants.
