Research mission

The Law and Development research group seeks to understand the role of law in fighting injustice, acknowledging that law may be part of the problem as well as part of the solution. We study whether and how law can realize human dignity and global justice, in particular for those most affected by injustices. The questions are addressed through the prism of power imbalances and structural inequality locally, transnationally and globally.

The research group’s views on teaching and research can be found here. They were prepared in the context of reflection processes within the Faculty of Law.
