The Centre for ASEAN Studies aims at pooling the expertise available at the University of Antwerp, on ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations) and the countries of South-East Asia.

History

The Centre for ASEAN Studies was established in 1994 jointly by the Faculty of Applied Economics and the then Institute of Administrative Sciences of the University of Antwerp (RUCA).
The Centre for ASEAN Studies aims at pooling the expertise available at the University of Antwerp, on ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations) and the countries of South-East Asia.

Research by CAS is carried out in cooperation with researchers in South East Asia and is published as "ASEAN Business Case Studies" or "CAS Discussion papers".

CAS is also promoting and coordinating interuniversity cooperation projects with universities in South-East Asia.
