The mission of the Ruusbroec Institute is
- to study the history of spirituality in the Low Countries from an interdisciplinary perspective with a special focus on textual traditions and printed sources
- to actively collect primary and secondary sources on this domain in its unique library, and keep the collection accessible to both researchers and a wider interested public
- to contribute to the teaching, research and services of the University of Antwerp and actively participate in its policy formation
