In the 3rd Bachelor, the students get the choice between four majors in which they acquire the knowledge needed to specialise in environmental, genetic, cellular, chemical or biological applications. In each of these majors, the typical engineering aspects are elaborated.

Chemistry & Food Technology
Chemistry is everywhere! Chemistry can be found in our food, the air we breathe, the water we use, our clothing and so on. As the name of the major suggests, the courses related to food technology and engineer technical aspects will be taught. If you really want to know how problems can be tackled from the core, in particular from a material and surface chemistry point of view, then Chemistry & Food Technology is the right choice.
With this major you can go in all directions. Of course the food industry and the chemical industry, but also in government and academia. Chemists are sought after consultants and managers because they strongly think about the chemical nature, and thus the essence of a real life problem. Surface chemistry and catalysis is the ideal approach towards nanotechnology. With this specialisation, your future is assured!
Ozone, smog, heavy metals, poor quality of water, air and soil. Every day we are confronted with these effects, which can be reduced to the three “spheres” of our environment: atmosphere (air) lithosphere (soil) and hydrosphere (water).
Environmental technology is a multidisciplinary direction in which attention is paid to how prevention, remediation and restoration can play a role in improving the quality of environmental media: air, soil and water. A good scientific basis in which a fundamentally important technological approach is incorporated, is of crucial importance.
All compartments are examined with attention to the (micro) biological, physical and chemical techniques that help improve the quality of our planet.
