Carola Betzold is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for Development Policy and Management at the University of Antwerp. Her research centers on environmental and in particular climate change politics. Her current project is interested in the links between development aid and adaptation to climate change. In particular, she examines the allocation of such aid across all developing countries, as well as its effectiveness. Here, she focuses on adaptation to coastal change in small island developing states and has done first fieldwork in the Comoros.
Before coming to Antwerp, Carola was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Gothenburg. She obtained her PhD from ETH Zurich.
