Abstract
The main specific objective of the initiative is to provide scientific research input and support for the equal opportunities policy development and implementation of the Flemish government by developing multidisciplinary expertise and research potential in the area of equal opportunities policy in Flanders in a more integrated way. Another specific objective is to create a documentation and information centre and a contact point which serves a wide circle of direct and indirect beneficiaries in the field of equal opportunities policy.Researcher(s)

Law and security
Abstract
Purpose: to show that the reference to security in the legal discourse is a heterogenous one. Therefore we proceed on three levels: the level of legal security; the level of social security, but in the very broad sense of the word: i.e. the function of the legal system consisting in the removal of existential insecurities;finally, the security ensuing from the ontological foundation of the law. The research will be done by an interdisciplinary team of jurists and other human scientists, from UFSIA as well as from other universities.Researcher(s)
