Frank Troch (°1986) graduated in Applied Economics at the University of Antwerp in 2009. He started his career with a financial internship for the national committee of the international student organization AIESEC. After the internship he started in the private sector, first as an expeditor, logistics manager and project coordinator for ArcelorMittal. By the end of 2011 he switched to the position of Business Process Manager within the same company. In December 2014 he left the private sector to start an academic career at the University of Antwerp with the goal of obtaining a PhD at the Department of Transport and Regional Economics. His current research is focussing on the development of intermodal rail freight transport in Belgium.
