Hanne Apers (she/her) conducts research on migration, culture, and health. She has an educational background in psychology and anthropology. Currently, Hanne is completing her doctoral research, exploring how cultural factors influence the interpretation of mental health among East African migrants in Belgium, as well as the perceptions of healthcare providers. Additionally, Hanne is involved in research for the federal Community Health Workers project (www.chw-intermut.be).
