Ines De Pauw is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Oncological Research (CORE) at the University of Antwerp. During her PhD, she investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance to EGFR-targeting agents in cancer treatment. Furthermore, she focused on the identification of novel therapeutic strategies in order to overcome therapeutic resistance in colorectal cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. For this project, Ines De Pauw received financial support from the “University Research Fund” (BOF) and “Stand up to Cancer” (www.komoptegenkanker.be). In June 2019, she obtained her PhD. To date, Ines De Pauw is continuing her research on the development of new combination strategies with targeted therapy and immunotherapy in order to improve survival and quality of life of head and neck cancer patients.
