Dr. MALARVANNAN Govindan (Male), PhD is a senior researcher at the Toxicological Centre, University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has obtained a PhD in Environmental Chemistry at the Ehime University, Japan. He is involved in the analytical, environmental aspects (aquatic and terrestrial organisms) and biomonitoring studies to investigate the distribution, behaviour, fate and effects of organic contaminants in humans and wildlife. He is currently focused in the Flemish Environment and Health Biomonitoring program, HBM4EU project (European Human Biomonitoring Initiative), INTERWASTE RISE project, MeDIPlasticS project and triboREMEDY project, investigating a wide range of environmental contaminants, including phthalates and their metabolites, bisphenol-A, phosphate- and brominated-flame retardants.
