Biography Maria Leus

In 1998 she accepted a position as assistant professor at the Faculty of Design Sciences, Antwerp University, Belgium, where she currently holds a professorship in the department ‘Heritage Studies’. She leads a cross-over interdisciplinary workshop for master students of Heritage Studies and Urban and Regional Development on city renewal and re-organization of public spaces.

Her current scientific research focuses specifically on projects relating to the re-use and revalorization of monuments and sites and resulted in peer-reviewed publications and lectures at international conferences.
