I joined the Department of Bioscience Engineering at Antwerp University in 2019. I received is B.S. in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Bari (Italy) in 2007 and I obtained his M.S. in Agriculture Economics at the same institution in 2009. In 2015, I received a PhD in science from the University of Bari (Italy).

My research program aligns with sustainability science because this field demonstrate a commitment to solve linked economic, environmental, and social, problems through inter- and transdisciplinary approaches. I perceive sustainability as a relative concept that outlines the directions in which society must develop while taking environmental limits into consideration . A reliable environmental impact assessment,  driven by the understanding of the sustainability requires strong fundamental environmental science foundations to define the planetary boundaries  and applied socio-economic research to outline transition pathways to more sustainable equilibrium between our society and the environment in which it exists.

My fields of research includes sustainability, life cycle impact analysism techno-economic assessment, agriculture economics, biophysical and economic models integration, climatic changes. My research  focus on integrated assessments frameworks of sustainability challenges by sound scientific analysis to reduce uncertainty in the transition to a sustainable society.

My researches have appeared in European Review of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural System, Land Use Policy,  Journal of Cleaner Production,  Journal of Environmental Managment, and  Science of the Total Environment. I was ranked at the 5th place of the 2016 Young Researchers prize awarded by the Italian Life Cycle Assessment Network
