Peter De Bruyn holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. Business Engineering in Management Information Systems as well as a Ph.D. in Applied Economics. From 2011 till 2014 he was supported by a doctoral research grant for strategic basic research of the IWT (Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology). His dissertation was entitled "Generalizing Normalized Systems Theory: Towards a Foundational Theory for Enterprise Engineering" and focused on the generalization and further application of Normalized Systems Theory (originally formulated for obtaining evolvable software systems) at the level of organizational artifacts. He currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Management Information Systems at the University of Antwerp.
