I am pursuing a PhD in bioinformatics at the ADReM Data Lab and the biomedical informatics research network Antwerp (biomina) at the University of Antwerp.

The subject of my project is the molecular interaction between pathogens and their hosts and how this interplay can determine disease susceptibility. More specifically, I'm applying data mining methods to multi-omics interaction data in order to gain a systems-level understanding of the manifestation of various infectious diseases. More recently my research has also included the development of machine learning models to explore the molecular interactions underpinning the adaptive immune system.
