Tom Bosschaerts is the Valorisation Manager for Life Sciences. Within this domain he is responsible for facilitating and strengthening collaborations with industry. Together with the research groups and the entire team of the Valorisation Unit he will define the appropriate valorization path for inventions. This includes providing support in finding the right strategy to protect the invention, identifying industrial partners or investors, and support the negotiation of collaboration or licensing agreements.
Tom is bio-engineer by training and holds a PhD in the field of immunology and infectious diseases. He combines a broad scientific background with 8 years of experience in managing research and development project at biotech SMEs and pharmaceutical companies. He joined the Valorisation Unit within the Department of Research and Innovation in 2018.
