Research: computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models of air flow around buildings in urban areas. The intended application is pollutant dispersion. The focus is on the fluid dynamics aspect, the flow, since these kind of problems are mainly governed by the convective transport. As such, both Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes models and large eddy simulation are applied.
